SWF IT-4 Tray Former Tray Maker

Automatic tray making system for forming/erecting trays from flat die cut blanks. System is rated at 40+
trays per minute. Features vacuum tray-blank pickoff and Mechanical tray transfer design. Portable
design features high capacity tray hopper, and minimal footprint, for compact, fast, and reliable tray forming.

Recon Systems is offering this unit reconditioned with either the existing SWF glue pots, or a Refurbished
Nordson 3400 Vista Hotmelt Unit.

Operational Description:
A tray blank is removed from the hopper by a vacuum feed system. As the blank is fed, hot melt adhesive is
applied in patterns to the tray tabs as determined by program segments. The tray is transferred down
to the bottom stops, that positively position the tray blank in front of the horizontal forming mandrel. As
the mandrel moves the blank into the compression area, plows fold the blank around the mandrel. The
mandrel moves the formed tray into the compression section, holding the forming flaps in position, as
the maderel pulls out of the finished tray.
